In February 2025 there was a visit of the VSP employees to India: the main goal of the business trip was to hold a meeting with the main company partner, HAVI Engineering, and to visit new production sites of the manufacturer. The trip turned out to be intense, efficient and somewhat unexpected.
For the first time VSP specialists visited India 5 years ago at the end of 2019. It was then that we started thinking if it were the time to re-consider the established approach to work on instrumentation products projects—focusing just on one supplier, Parker Hannifin, the company, for whom we had been a distributor in Russia since 1996. We realized that Parker capabilities were not suffice for complying with requirements of all end-users, VSP customers. Parker potential was not enough to provide for growth of our company business in Russia, no matter how contradictory it might appear. Parker instrumentation products need no introduction and have gained a well-deserved reputation in our market. In VSP's opinion, limiting to some extent further extension of Parker products application and use in Russia was the lack of the company readiness to demonstrate project agility, including commercial requirements, as well as unwillingness to take into account competitive market conditions.
It is important for us to remember the lessons of working with Parker now, because, obviously, history not only teaches us, but its foundation allows us to build an effective business model and make forecasts for the future, avoiding mistakes that we learned after more than 25 years of work.

In 2019 we met with some manufacturing companies in India, including HAVI Engineering too. In 2022 a 3-years basis of activities gained further active development, and today VSP is building on it making plans for the future.
In the first place, in February 2025 a meeting with the company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the office in Mumbai took place. A detailed and an extensive discussion covered the operational results in 2024, main tasks and plans for 2025, as well as the strategy for a progressive development of joint business in Russia, where both parties—VSP and HAVI Engineering—see great potential and opportunities for a fundamental dynamic expansion of the business presence.
On the second day the VSP employees visited two HAVI manufacturing sites in Pune: the main plant with a machinery equipment and a forging site. The plant operates 24/7 providing instrumentation products for customers not only in India. Some current market challenges were discussed with the colleagues including the lead time for VSP orders, the possibility of adapting to stringent requirements of end-users in Russia, launching mass production of some new products in demand in the Russian and Belorussian markets…
The complete agenda of the meeting with the HAVI specialists was covered, though we finished our discussions with the colleagues a few hours later than planned, extending the list of questions as the dialogue went on.

A little over 5 years since VSP encounter with HAVI Engineering in India, in 2025 we witnessed a new, fundamentally different level of the manufacturer’s operation: the energy of growth and the desire to achieve more have provided for HAVI Engineering one of the leading positions in the instrumentation products market in the region. In Russia our partnership is gaining momentum too, forcing our competitors to look around closely.
And this is just the beginning!
PS
It is our job to fully satisfy project requirements for instrumentation products of end users in Russia. We strive to meet high quality standards of VSP customers, widening our expertise and understanding of the potential of suppliers world-wide. During the February 2025 trip to India VSP employees met with representatives of some new companies: we were offered factory tours and had detailed discussions with working teams of specialists. We are grateful for the attention and time allocated to us and count on a substantive dialogue at the practical level of project work.
