The VSP company is a small enterprise. The turnover does not amount to billions, it is not thousands or hundreds of people working for the company, the company does not carry on its own production activities, ... The task of VSP is to provide the customer with a competent project solution in instrumentation products, based on the employees expertise, on the potential of manufacturers and suppliers with whom the company cooperates.
Is it worth talking about social responsibility in relation to small businesses at all? Our answer is yes!
It's simple, after all. There are millions of small enterprises in Russia, employing tens of millions of people—this is the real potential of the country, business and our common future!
The programs of large companies are significant and well-known, but it does not mean that we can act only as passive observers and admire the amount of support for a particular charitable foundation or any social program. Not at all!
First. VSP complies with the Russian tax legislation. There were different times in our country, various opportunities to optimize the tax burden on business. It is remarkable and encouraging that today the decisive majority of the business community clearly perceive their responsibility to society.
Second. We try to choose organizations that really need support, which usually no one might pay attention to. For example, this year we supported a Homeless Animal Fund in Yoshkar-Ola.
Third. We understand that the future of the ecosystem in which we all exist today, in which our descendants will live, depends on the actions of each of us today. We continue to adhere to the principles of the so-called ESG agenda, which we stated previously, and which essentially implies a responsible approach to business activities in terms of a footprint in the natural ecosystem.
VSP: ‘Lean Operations’ Rules as an Integral Part of Sustainable Development →
We continue to support the eco-balance in our region by making payments aimed at forest recovery.
It depends on each of us where and which way we live, where and how our children will live, what kind of air people will breathe in decades, whether the level of social security will meet the needs of the society, whether we will be in harmony with natural environment. It may seem to someone that these issues are not a priority, that there are more urgent problems now which prioritize for their solution. Yes, of course, at all times and in any society there are problems that attract the attention of everyone as acute and urgent, but it is obvious that if we do not think about the future today, our future becomes much less certain.
We would like to repeat the appeal which we declared last year:
